Last week, DHC Group had the honour of hosting Seema Kennedy OBE, Chair of the Independent Healthcare Providers Network (IHPN), during her visit to DHC Group Head Office in Manchester. This visit gave Seema the opportunity to meet with colleagues across DHC Group, gaining a deeper understanding of how we deliver essential diagnostic services to patients across the UK in Radiology, Cardiology, and Dental Imaging.
As part of her visit to DHC Group, Seema was joined by our CEO, Liat Karni, for a tour of Venturi Cardiology. The team at Venturi showcased their unique one-stop diagnostic model, which is transforming both NHS and Private Cardiology care. This innovative approach allows patients to receive comprehensive cardiac diagnostics and tests in a single visit, significantly reducing waiting times and ensuring that vital, potentially life-saving tests are completed quickly.
Seema shared her reflections on the visit, expressing her appreciation for the warm welcome she received at DHC Group:
“I would like to thank Liat and colleagues at DHC Group for their welcome during my visit. The DHC team are providing state-of-the-art technology and highly skilled clinicians across the NHS – through their mobile imaging fleet and national network of community clinics. Their state-of-the-art Cardiology clinic at Venturi Cardiology is yet another example of an innovative care model delivered by the Independent Sector – a service which patients can access within a few days and have all their vital and potentially life-saving Cardiology tests in one visit. With reports just this week showing that the heart care waiting list in England is now the highest figure on record, services like this are vital to supporting the NHS’s recovery on the back of Lord Darzi’s report.”
Seema’s visit to DHC Group highlighted the crucial role that independent healthcare providers play in alleviating the pressure on NHS services. With heart care waiting lists in England now at an all-time high, the services offered by Venturi Cardiology are more important than ever. By providing patients with rapid access to comprehensive diagnostics, we are not only helping to reduce waiting times but also contributing to improved patient outcomes.
At DHC Group, we are proud to be at the forefront of innovative healthcare solutions. We extend our thanks to Seema Kennedy and the IHPN for their ongoing commitment to showcasing the important work being done across the independent sector, and for their continued support of our mission to enhance patient care across the UK.
This visit emphasises the importance of collaborative efforts between the NHS and independent providers in improving access to healthcare and ensuring that patients receive timely and effective treatment.
